Klangvisionen

Klangvisionen (a vision of sound) – the connection of music and light

Markus Stockhausen – Trumpet, flugelhorn
Tara Bouman – Clarinet, bass clarinet
Rolf Zavelberg – Light and design

Intuitive music and original arrangements by Markus Stockhausen are performed by both musicians. Special effects with lights are created intuitively by Rolf Zavelberg during the performance. We especially like to perform at locations having special acoustics, such as churches and museums, which enhance the sound of the wind instruments.

The Photo Impressions give a good idea of how different the locations can be: from churches and industrial museums (including a train tunnel) to the German Federal Republic's Art and Exhibition Museum in Bonn.

Thereby, the KLANGVISIONEN do not come "off the shelf", but are tailored and developed for each occasion and location.

KLANGVISIONEN is also the name of the series of concerts which we have been giving in Cologne since February 2000. The web site for this concert series is at wwww.koelnkonzerte.de. Details of those concerts, with information about the guest musicians (Dafer Youssef, Fenec Snétberger, Mark Nauseef, Arild Andersen and many more) can be found at Historie in the left column. The current list of planned concerts, which will also take place in museums, are at www.koelnkonzerte.de.

A short definition of intuitive music can be found at www.aktivraummusik.de in the Editorial.
